Natural Resources

 

Zimbabwe's greatest natural resource comes from its large wealth of minerals.  Zimbabwe has over 30 different mineral deposits scattered throught the county and  over 40 types of metals and minerals.  Of the fourty, coal along with platinum are Zimbabwe's greatest sources of mineral wealth.  Coal is one of Zimbabwe's primary energy sources and is found in parts of North Matabeleland, the Zambezi vally and in the south east.  Other popular minerals in Zimbabwe include coal, platinum, asbestos, copper, nickel, gold, and iron ore.
