Harare is Zimbabwe's biggest city with a

population over 1 million.  It is also the commercial capital of the country.  It was first founded by the british in 1890 and was named Salisbury.  It wasn't until the early 1980's when Zimbabwe finaly gained it's independence, that they renamed the capital Harare after the Shona chief, Neharawa.
