This country in southern Africa got its name from Great Zimbabwe, a fortified trading hub built in medieval times and used by the Shona tribe.  The economy in Zimbabwe is centered around farming, mining, and manufacturing.  The nation was able to feed itself until the early 1990's when drought struck.
